This Sunday, 15 September, the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra will open its 2019/20 season with a concert performance of Moniuszko's Hrabina (The Countess) at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio in Warsaw. The performance will be relayed live on Polish Radio 2.

'The venue does not offer such possibilities as a stage [but] we are going to have costumes, basic scenery and lighting. [...] We are also preparting sound effects typical for radio drama, which pleases me a lot as a radio drama director. My idea was to combine opera, music and radio theatre,' said the director, Anna Wieczur-Bluszcz.
