Recording of Moniuszko's Phantoms wins a Fryderyk

A recording of Moniuszko's Widma (Phantoms) has won a Fryderyk Award for best album of choral, oratorio and opera music. The album was made possible by the Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music and features Jarosław Bręk (Volkhv), Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk (Young Girl), Jerzy Butryn (Phantom), Bogdan Makal (Old Man), Joanna Rot (Owl), Dominik Kujawa (Kruk), the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra and the Choir of the National Forum of Music under Andrzej Kosendiak, as well as actors Paweł Janyst, Mariusz Bonaszewski, Przemysław Wasilkowski and Anna Wieczorek. The album was released by CD Accord.
