The House of Literature (Dom Literatury) in Łódź is working to publish an anthology titled Moniuszko 2019 - komiks (Moniuszko 2019: comics). The institution already has similar anthologies devoted to Julian Tuwim, Joseph Conrad and Józef Piłsudski under its belt.

The House of Literature seeks short comic strips (1-8 pages) dealing with or loosely inspired by Stanisław Moniuszko the man, his life or work. The eligible techniques include drawing, painting, computer design and photography.

Each artist may submit an unlimited number of entries, which should be sent in tiff or jpg format (CMYK, A4 – 300 DPI) to marcin.balczewski@plasterlodzki.pl on 30 June 2019 at the latest. Please put 'Moniuszko komiks' in the subject line and provide a short note about yourself in the email body. The author of the winning entry will receive a remuneration, the anthology's free copy and an invitation to the launch during the International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź.
