Currently on display at the Opera Gallery at the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw is the exhibition VIVA MONIUSZKO!. Those unable to visit it personally now have a chance to take a virtual tour of the show!

The exhibition marks Stanisław Moniuszko's 200th birthday, presenting him not only as the father of Polish opera but also a conductor, educator and general manager of an opera house. The photographs, lithographies, scores, manuscripts and other exhibits paint a fresh portait of the artist: respectful, yet closer to our sensibilities. Moniuszko emerges as a flesh and blood figure who travelled the world, cared how his work was received by his contemporaries, interacted with other musicians and Polish intellectual circles of the mid-19th century.
