Marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Stanisław Moniuszko, on 30 November 2019 a new production of Halka will premiere on the stage of the Opera Studio Theatre of the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music in Kiev. The project is supported by the Polish embassy and Polish Cultural Institute in Kiev.

The production fuses opera and film, and features Poland's Bartłomiej Misiuda (baritone) and Magdalena Feiner (soprano) along with Juri Gorodecki (tenor), a prizewinner of the International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw.
